Introducing Me! | Louisville Wedding and Engagement Photographer

Hello, everyone! I’m Dina and I’m the giggly face behind Dina Fahmi Photography. I thought that I’d come over here and introduce myself for my first blog! I’m an Egyptian girl that comes from a *really* Egyptian family, and was born and raised in Louisville, Kentucky. I have been told that I’m mostly known for rambling and talking too much, giving great hugs, always being overdressed, and being “ferociously friendly”. Which I think is pretty fair! I’m a Louisville wedding and engagement photographer, but more than anything I love to serve. I find that I’m truly myself when I’m helping others. I’m always available to listen to a rant or to help fix a problem. Being a giver and a helper is what I do best.

This photo was taken by a close friend of mine, Sarah Hassanein, at Walt Disney World in Orlando. We were stealing each other’s cameras and lenses all day!

One of my favorite ways that I chose to serve others is photography. Not only do I love to photograph the one of a kind, ‘happiest moment in the world,” “heart bursting with joy” kind of love, but I also love to help people. I love to fluff dresses and bring water and help moms put that stubborn pin in their hair. I love to “ooh” and “aah” with all of the bridesmaids while helping touch up their lipstick. On every personality test I’ve ever taken, I’ve always come out as a “helper” and I really can’t complain about that. It’s true. I am known for doing everything I can to help the person in front of me. That won’t change as I photograph your happiest moments.

Photography is a new venture for me, but it’s one that I truly love. I enjoy sharing in my clients’ love and joy and watching as they live their happiest moments. I first picked up a camera just for fun. But then, one of my closest friends asked me to photograph her Nikkah/Katb-Kitab for her. That was in August 2015. The rest is history! I began shooting engagements, couple sessions, Nikkahs, and weddings for my nearest and dearest. And now, I’m so excited that I get to photograph even more love and happiness. Please feel free to snoop around my website and my instagram. And after that, I’d love to get to know you better, so please send me a quick message! I can’t wait to make some new friends!

These photos are from a Nikkah/Katb-Kitab that I recently photographed. I was actually a bridesmaid as well! This is me with the bride, Ajsa!
