What to expect when you book a session | Louisville, KY Photographer

louisville ky photographer,muslim photographer,engagement photographer,what to expect,

Hi! I’m Dina and I’m a Louisville, KY photographer focusing on weddings and portraits. I know that a lot of people have questions about what to expect when you book a session with me, so I decided to make this handy dandy guide for you! Have a question that isn’t on this post? Shoot me a message and I’ll be happy to answer. And maybe in the future, I’ll add it to an updated version of this post!

Before Your Session:

What are your prices?

Currently, wedding packages begin at $1900, and portrait sessions begin at $125. For more detailed pricing information, or pricing for specific events or kinds of sessions, please fill out the contact form at the bottom of my website or send me an email at dinafahmiphotography@gmail.com and I’ll be happy to help!

How do I book you?

Use my contact form to inquire about your date/event, send me an email, or shoot me a text at (502) 802-1081! I’ll be happy to talk to you about getting something set up!

How do we pick a location?

I love to choose locations that mean a lot to the people that I’m photographing. Do you have a favorite park? Do most of your memories take place at that one special coffee shop down the street? Lets go there! But outside of that, we can always brainstorm a space together that gives you the energy and look that you’re looking for!

The Day Of:

What should I bring to photos?

Yourself! And your biggest smile!! No, I’m serious. That’s really all you need to bring. But you are more than welcome to bring any special mementoes, a furry friend, or anything that matters a lot to you.

How many outfits do I bring?

This depends on your session! Some sessions only allow for one outfit, but some allow for two or more. Shoot me a message and I’ll be sure to help you out with the details. And when in doubt, feel free to bring extras and we can sort through it all together!

How long is my session?

Weddings have packages for 4-6 hours, 8 hours, and 10 hours. Nikkahs/Katb-Kitabs have packages for 2 hours and 3 hours. Senior Sessions and Engagement/Couples sessions are 2 hours and headshot sessions are 1 hour. Family mini sessions are 30 minutes. Feel free to pick the package that’s right for you. Need something you don’t see? Shoot me a message and we can work something out!

Can I bring my pet/family member/friend?

Of course! The more the merrier. Who doesn’t want to get a photo with their furry friend? I just ask that any friends or family members respect that this is your session and your time to feel like royalty.

Can my family member/friend take photos behind you?

Sure! I just ask that they stay behind me, don’t direct posing, and that they tag me as the main photographer in any photos that they post.

After Your Session:

How many images do I get?

In most sessions, you can expect around 50-60 images per hour of shooting time. But this can vary depending on your session or event. I will always give you all of the very best photos from our time together!

How do I get my images?

I deliver images via an online gallery. The gallery is password protected so that your photos are very safe. From your gallery you can download all of your images. Some sessions even include a USB flash drive of your high resolution files.

Can I print my photos?

Yes! You will be given a print release that allows you to print your photos and post them to social media with proper credit. I do not, however, allow photos to be altered or edited in any way (including Instagram filters). You will also be able to purchase professional prints directly from your gallery, if you’d like to!

Will my photos be posted online?

The short answer to this question is “probably.” Any photos I take may end up on my Instagram, Facebook, website, or in a blog post (kinda like this one!). That being said, I totally understand that many of my clients are hijabis and there may be instances where we take photos without your hijab on. I also understand that, for modesty reasons, some couples may not want certain photos posted on social media. I will always try my hardest to accommodate your religious and cultural needs. Just be sure to communicate with me in advance so I can help you out as much as possible!

I hope this blog post, though kind of long, has helped answer the big “what should I expect??” questions. If you have any other questions or concerns, be sure to leave a comment on this blog post, or shoot me a message. I might make another “What to expect when you book a session” post and include it in that, but even if I don’t, I’ll be sure to get you the answer to your question!

Have a great day, and thanks for stopping by!!
